Job

I'll pray ahead of time for forgiveness because most likely I'm missing something obvious or just acting foolishly. I don't think I'm alone in the assessment that there's something very weird about the Book of Job. If I understand correctly God admits to destroying Job Without a Cause after Praising Job for not foolishly blaming God. Let's see if the text backs that up. It's always important to get key verses in context. So, here we go.

 Job 1:22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. 

Job.2 [1] Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. [2] And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. [3] Add the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

The world

It's easy to see how one day you can be on top of the world and the next day it can be handing you your hat. Your Life Energy alone can be strong one day and trampled the next. And as age takes its toll you realize, the day you won't be here grows ever closer. The universe itself is winding down and will be recreated for an eternal Kingdom.

The squeak

Several years ago a squeak first sounded in my car. It sounded like the noise was coming from inside near the back. But after many attempts to silence the irritation it Very slowly grew only worse. There was no squeak when the car was rolling along on smooth pavement. Sometimes it squeaked often, sometimes less. Initially it required hitting a big bump to produce the sound, but over time it occurred easier and easier. Guess what it turned out to be? There was a speaker panel that had slowly worked loose and only made noise when moved in a specific way. Simply tightening the screws fixed the problem. It just took a while to find which screws.
