Girls drive cars in America
Yes it is true. If you ever come to America, which is ill-advised, do not be alarmed when you see a proximately half the vehicles being driven by women. I remember the first time I was beaten by a girl playing tennis. We played several matches and she beat me every time. This was truly frustrating as a Young Man, but I came to realize the girls can be quite athletic and are able to drive cars. Although tennis and driving are two completely separate activities they both require coordination and quick thinking. There was some tiny degree of Comfort when my high school sweetheart drove their family station wagon into a giant telephone pole at 15 miles an hour. She was much smarter than me and more disciplined and it did not deter her from climbing behind the wheel and continuing to drive cars. Still way back in the tiny little reptilian part of my brain I thought maybe girls shouldn't be driving cars. This thought has not grown into a movement though, women are driving more vigorously today than ever.
Teenagers
Living near teenagers is bad news. They are prone to getting in trouble. They don't truly realize we will all be judged by God. The boys are really bad news. I was a boy once, it is no fun and trouble stalks boys. Do your best to avoid teenagers and men under 40.
Moving to a new home
This seems like good advice. Moving is a huge waste of time. If you are married with tons of stuff you're doomed. If you are single go small. Very small.
Office space
Office space is a movie about a computer company and a guy that works there. It probably got rave reviews when it first came out, because of the deep social implications and timeless relevance to workers everywhere.
The main character is a worker named Peter. He goes to a hypno-therapist with his girlfriend in an attempt to save their relationship. Just as the hypnosis takes affect the hypnotist dies of a heart attack. Peter begins to act unusual after this as he never snaps back to normal. He breaks up with his girlfriend and starts ignoring orders at work, which oddly enough leads to a promotion.
It's pretty funny if you like docudrama comedies.
Peter finds a new girl and a new job. A happy ending.
Some other stuff happens, but these are the important points. Get a new girlfriend and a new job.
There's always a down side
There's always pro's and con's. Is more of anything always better? Too much money caused hyper-inflation. Too much fun? Too much love? Too much peace? Too much happiness? To much good? Why are these things limited? Why are they such a challenge? The democrats say the pie is fixed and needs to be divided up. The republicans say the pie is growing, go get your own piece. Why are they both right? And both wrong?
The move in blues
you know how moving in seems like it's going to be so exciting? Then the heavy lifting is done and its largely the same stuff in a different place. After a lifetime of this it starts to sink in. The thrill is gone.
America is not safe
Realizing of course that much of the world is a deadly Wasteland it's tough to say that America is no longer safe. There's really nowhere else to go. Perfectly healthy able-bodied people walk around begging for money. No I'm not kidding. There are signs in almost every store wanting to hire people. most of the Beggars are young men in their twenties and thirties. How's that public education working out for you? This kid walked up in front of my car started digging through the trash and came out with 3/4 of a bottle of power aide, a sports drink. Then he walked up to me and asked for a couple of bucks. This is a perfectly healthy adult kid. And it is happening more and more. Soon I'll have to start concealed carry and watch every move.
