Clean hubcaps
There's just something that feels right about shiny clean hubcaps. And clean aluminum rims. And there's just something that seems fundamentally flawed with regular steel rims and no hubcaps. If there's one hubcap missing on a car it just goes into your brain that there's something not right. If all the hubcaps are missing and there's just four steel rims on there it just seems like something really bad has happened to that car. Maybe nothing bad has happened. Maybe the hubcaps just got old and dingy and the person thought what's the point of having these hubcaps on here anyway I just threw them away. It just looks wrong. The shiny clean hubcaps just gives the whole car a lift. But it seems that keeping aluminum rims clean is somewhat of a challenge. You get them shining shiny and sparkling and just 50 miles down the road if you look at them closely you'll see there's already some Road Grime on there. Now they make some stuff that you can spray on there by hand. it just sort of runs off onto the ground. It pretty well takes off the top layer of grime. but who wants to be jumping out of their car or remembering every hundred miles to hop out Hairspray the rims? So if you wash them off say once a month it still feels pretty shiny for about a week. a car wash will get off most of the crime but it seems like some human intervention is required to really make them shine.
