Truck stop Diner

Many years ago several of us were commuting back and forth on the freeway out in the country. There was a truck stop Diner that had a great reputation for local food. So one day we pulled in there for lunch. For some reason we had gotten off early that day. So we start pulling up to the place and you can see that it's an older place. it was built back in the 50s. It has a gigantic gravel parking lot big enough for maybe a hundred semis or more. There are no semis but only a few cars up close to the restaurant. The restaurant looks a little rundown but not dilapidated. It's a single-story building it looks like it was originally built maybe small and then added onto over the years. We went inside. There were two dining rooms or that's what it appeared. The one dining room was up front; it was smaller and close to the kitchen. The back dining room was dark there was a doorway that led back to it and looked huge, like maybe a hundred truckers could sit back there. There are few people in the restaurant besides us. I think we mostly ordered burgers. they were like those burgers that you cook in your backyard delicious flame-broiled and thick. So there are some flies buzzing around and between the back room, which was huge and dark, and the front room, which is where everyone was eating. there was a doorway mentioned earlier. Tacked to the top of the doorway were three fly strips. Fly strips are paper strips that look like tape but they're super sticky. When a fly lands on them the Fly is stuck and eventually dies a horrible death as all flies should. Now maybe that's too harsh after all flies are created by God and God is merciful maybe I'm not putting on a good Christian attitude there. Maybe they should die quickly and mercifully just like I want to die. One of the people that was eating with us asked the waitress why are the fly strips stuck between that room and this room instead of over the front door? The waitress answered without thinking, we don't want any flies to go back there.
