the good old days has been a saying for a long time. and indicated how things have gotten worse, that used to be good. but when I was a kid the old people, the people in their 40s and 50s would say, you know actually the good old days weren't all that good. there were lots more wars that killed lots more people. there were lots more diseases that also killed lots more people. quite often women died in childbirth. they didn't hand out cesarean sections like sugar-free lollipops at the dentist. if you died, oh well you died.
but now looking back on my life I would have to say that the good old days actually were better. the seventies especially were my growing up years. although we still had the Vietnam war winding down and one of the darkest events to ever occur in America did happen during that time. The 55 mile an hour speed limit. but with the introduction of the escort radar detector and reasonably inexpensive cars you could still go out and have some fun.
it really does seem like things are worse. the whole world is worshipping their health Care systems. governments seem like some gigantic collective Nanny state. they squabble against each other but everyone knows at the end of the day we all need each other. it seems like society has gotten crass and rude. I like Trump but frankly the guy isn't terribly presidential. I think if he was to take president lessons from Washington and Lincoln they would have some Stern words for him. of course they would just give Obama and Clinton the big spanking and tell them they were unfit for service. the list goes on and on with all sorts of sad problems we've got. baby slaughter is rampant drug usage is out of control and even becoming accepted in public. Colorado has been californicated. the liberal-left is slowly winning and over the next decades America will completely disappear. which strangely enough has been their goal all along. socialized farming? that's just communism in stupid clothing. and the talk of not being able to argue issues based on your conscience. that sounds like it's right out of Satan's playbook. oh and let's get rid of the electoral college and just go with mob rule. let's chop off Marie Antoinette's head all over again. Satan uses the same tricks over and over because at the end of the day we never learn. no, America's Glory days are behind her.
