remember those old cartoons where bugs Bunny or one of the characters would get real excited about money and their eyes would start spinning like the wheels in a slot machine. when they stopped they would both be big dollar signs. remember that? well the people that own these apartments seem to be having a bad case of that. they get up every morning and their eyes are spinning like that until they come up with some new gimmick to squeeze another dime out of a nickel. then they try to make it sound like they're doing us a big favor. but all it really does is make people start looking for another apartment.
too many rats
there's too many rats in the maze. the grocery store in this part of town has six self-checkout registers. generally there are six people at the registers and two or three people waiting for a register. now for the most part this works pretty well. but occasionally there's a person who is in a big rush and they stand at the front of the line waiting for a register and fidgeting and rocking back and forth and acting irritated with the whole process. like it's everybody else's fault for existing. today there was one such person. this person happened to be waiting right next to the register that I was using. you could almost physically feel them pushing against you. but on this fateful day no amount of mental or spiritual pushing was going to move me one tiny little bit because the checkout register station was not working correctly. it said to me in a very pleasant female voice, help is on the way. well after standing and staring at it for about 20 seconds it simply went back to working correctly. there wasn't any problem in the first place. after it went back to normal there wasn't any problem finishing the checkout. by this time the person haid rushed off to another register never to be seen again. but it was just another reminder that there are too many rats in the maze. we need to disperse into smaller mazes. we need to get out of these big giant mazes with millions of people kramden and get back to a simpler happier way of life.

food is one of the things that is nearest and dearest to all of us. think of what Stalin attacked first, farmers. there are photos of them lining up hundreds of farmers and their families and machine-gunning them into open ditches. he slaughtered about 15 million farmers and their families. think about what Satan wants to destroy, our ability to provide for ourselves. Satan wants the government to take over every aspect of your life. the goal being that Satan wants to take over every aspect of your life and eventually force you to worship the Antichrist. so one step is to get control of food. socialize food. there's never been a farmer as productive as the American Farmer. there have never been ranchers and animal husbandmen as productive as American ranchers. but socialists, Communists, and Satan want to take that away and turn it over to a godless government that can no better farm or ranch than a mosquito.

many years ago I got laid off for the first time. a couple of days after that we went out to a restaurant. as we walked in the door a tremendous spiritual Force came up on me that said you don't belong here you're not earning any money. it was real, it wasn't just a feeling or an idea or an uncomfortable thought. at the same time it wasn't an audible voice talking in my head. it was a thought but I knew it was a thought that came from somewhere else. we had plenty of money and the restaurant was one of our very normal restaurants that we've been going to for years. since that experience there have been several other times when spiritual forces have tried to manipulate my spending patterns. it almost always occurs when we were in some sort of financial upheaval. the general idea is you don't fit in anymore because your financial situation is different. these forces are real. they're largely satanic forces. when Satan offered to give Jesus the kingdoms of the world Jesus didn't argue with him because they really were Satan's to give. now Satan is defeated, but still retains some power over the kingdoms of this world.

this voice to text is getting pretty good. even when I burp or say the wrong words sometimes it will back up and fill in the right phrase. that sounds like it might not be a good thing but still it's impressive. this seems like maybe it's not the right thing, but don't let that bother you not much is the right thing these days.
truly troubling
today I saw something that was truly troubling. there was this guy that looked like he belong on a Harley Electra glide or a Honda goldwing. he looked like he should be cruising down the highway at 85 to a hundred miles an hour. he had to look, he had the build he had the tan my God I think he even had the hair. but guess where this guy was? he was standing at a busy intersection with a little sign that said food or money please anything helps. he had a simple backpack. it look like he really was out on the road. leaning up against the street sign at the corner of the intersection was the backpack. and as he walked along I saw someone hold a folded bill of money out their car window. and the guy walked over in the middle of traffic and took the money and said thank you. he didn't say God bless you which is beginning to become so passe you don't even want to hear it. and he walked back over to the curb. and started looking at it at each and every car for more money. now i sort of hope that that Harley is hiding around the corner somewhere and he's basically going to get back on the road. but I got the disturbing impression that there was no Harley. that this guy was basically begging for money. what has happened to us?

a new conspiracy theory
yes we need just one more conspiracy theory. this theory is based on the idea that we were on track for ending the universe. everything was moving along rather well but unfortunately as awkward as this sounds we ran out of funding. we had the whole thing with Adam and Eve and then a whole bunch of stuff happened and Jesus came and died for our sins. then Jesus resurrected and went back to Heven. then a whole bunch of stuff happened. at that point the end of the world was supposed to occur. depending on your viewpoint some intense stuff was supposed to happen and Jesus would come back and wrap everything up. then there would be a thousand years and then some people would go off to the eternal Paradise and everybody else would get thrown into the lake of fire. unfortunately what we're missing is your generous donation. highway 83
there's a two-lane road that goes from Parker Colorado to Colorado springs. it's a nice little road. there's some pine trees on it. there's a lot of open Fields on it. there's some beautiful views of the mountains on it. there's a couple of stoplights but for the most part it runs about 65 miles an hour. the problem is that there are a whole bunch of people trying to drive on this two-lane road these days. it turns out they pretty much drive in clumps. this is because people get backed up at the stop lights and then drive along all in little groups. but I tried an interesting experiment today to see if it would be possible to drive much faster than 65 miles an hour and not stay stuck in clumps the whole time. now you don't get there any faster but you do get to drive faster when you're driving. and my current thought on the subject of driving is that it's more fun to drive faster than slower. so here's the plan. it worked pretty well. when you stop at a stoplight and you're in a long line of cars pull over to the side of the road at some point where you can get out of traffic and let all the cars go by you. go through the stoplight but then pull over and let those cars drive off into the distance. wait for the stop light to turn red. there will be a fairly long Gap in the traffic because a whole bunch of cars are by piling up behind the red light. when the light turns green jump out in front of all that traffic and put your foot on the floor. you can zip right up to 75 or 80 miles an hour and generally the people behind you are not willing to drive that fast so you'll be zipping off down that little two-lane road all by yourself. now the trip is about 40 miles. so generally if you're driving that fast you're going to catch up to the cars that are in front of you. when you do just pull over and sit on the side of the road for a while when there's a long Gap in the traffic then jump back on the road and speed back up to 75 to 80 miles an hour. now obviously this won't work on heavily congested roads where there's non-stop traffic and lots of traffic entering from side roads and all kinds of traffic and heavy trucks entering and slowing down causing all kinds of delays in traffic. but in the particular situation of highway 83 it worked great.
when I get to heaven I'm going to tell Jesus all about it.

car ownership in America
there are lots of theories and approaches.
here are two.
1) Drive a car forever and just keep pouring money into it. it's paid off, so just keep running it to the shop.
2) Drive it till it starts breaking down repeatedly and then get rid of it.
in the end there is no free way to drive a car on gas tires and oil changes. they all have a significant cost.
my current perception is that there are two main factors in a car's longevity.
the first is age. when modern cars get to be about 15 years old all the plastic and rubber parts start breaking. since there are millions of plastic and rubber parts all over the car it's pretty much the end of the road. you can force the issue by just spending a whole bunch of money running it back and forth to the shop.
the second is mileage, and how that mileage is accumulated. highway driving is much easier on a car and City mileage is pretty tough. but it seems like cars get to somewhere around 150,000 miles and they just give up.
now of course there's a little old lady with a 1962 Volvo that's got 20 million miles on it. of course it happened somewhere in some universe, but generally not in mine.
drive it for all it's worth. then give up.

the problem of understanding God
As humans we prefer to think that if we're doing the right thing, then good things will happen. we like to think that if we're doing bad things, then bad things will happen. this is not biblical. there is an indication that if you do bad it is recorded and you will be held accountable for it at some point in the future. sometimes this Future point is in the physical world, but quite often this point is off in a different dimension after you die. sometimes bad things happen to you because you're being good. sometimes bad things happen to you because you're being bad. sometimes bad things happen to you simply because you exist. so apparently the point God is trying to make is, so be good for goodness sake. what happens to you physically, to some degree, is irrelevant, but what you do is what matters. this is a tough pill to swallow, people for thousands of years have resisted and rebelled against this biblical teaching. if I do good they want good now and if somebody does bad they want him to get squashed now. the Bible makes it clear that this is how people will feel, but it's simply not how God operates. good and evil will be separated on judgement day according to the book of Life and the book of works. up until then to some degree you're flying blind. you have the ten commandments and Jesus teachings and the old and New testaments as lessons, but it's important to realize that you can't just apply those lessons directly and get the exact same results. for instance we can't just cast lots today and figure out why some bad thing is happening in the country and narrow it down to a person and then take that person and their family out and stone them to death. I don't know, maybe we can, but Jesus seems to resist this idea in the New testament.

cat vs squirrel dream
this takes place in a backyard with some small trees like peach trees. the squirrel is running around and climbs up on the stucco siding of the house several times. it also runs along a refrigerated air conditioning cold copper line with a black foam insulation cover. then the squirrel runs up a small tree. a cat comes running across the yard and runs up the tree and grabs the squirrel throwing it to the ground. then the cat jumps down and bites the squirrel a couple of times. naturally the squirrel is hissing and trying to bite the cat. then the cat runs off. oddly the squirrel stays on the ground chattering and hissing. the cat runs back and bites the squirrel again. the squirrel seems unhurt, but it's hard to tell.

there is a theme of fear emerging on the internet. a fear that China is rising and everyone else, especially America can't do anything about it. this is from Satan, and indirectly from God. because the Chinese spread covid-19 around the world and the Communist Chinese government is acting like a big bully to India and to its other neighbors in the Pacific region I'm boycotting Chinese food. this is the year of the rat and frankly we have enough rats in the Democratic party already.

impulse sprinkler Hits car going 65 mph
nothing bad happened. the car is traveling along a very straight stretch of highway and off to the right is an agricultural circular sprinkler system which is up off the ground about 10 ft. at the end of the pipe about 10 feet off the ground is a huge giant impulse sprinkler. it shoots water out about 40 ft. now it becomes apparent has the car approaches on the highway that the impulse sprinkler is accidentally spraying out onto the highway. and as fate would have it the impulse sprinkler is going around counterclockwise. and just as the car hits the wet spot on the pavement the impulse sprinkler shoots a huge spray of water across the front of the car and the windshield. imagine what that sounded like in a car traveling 65 miles an hour to be hit by a huge spray of water flying through the air 40 feet. it was worth a good laugh.

China is using aggressive tactics against India and other countries that share ocean areas. China claims areas that have been sitting quietly for centuries. Rather than simply defining borders and water ways by negotiation, China is mounting a propaganda attack. China is a massive country already and creating ill will with it's neighbors seems like something right out of Satan's play book.
You have to wonder why China is causing trouble after causing Covid-19. Instead of being humble and helpful, China is acting like a bully. It's not too late China! You can be the friendly giant.
