Stop watching TV. The TV plays the same stuff over and over, like you have no memory. once you get the information you know how to respond or pray. Watching it over and over is a waste. Stop watching or using these news sources.

All local stations like ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS.
Stop using large City news papers or sources like the New York times or Chicago Tribune.
Stop using CNN.
Use sparingly: Reuters.

Use these:

allsides.com
Wikipedia current events
whitehouse.gov
blogs

These sources actively engage you in aquiring and assessing information. Stop shoveling in propaganda and start seeing more of the story, especially with allsides.com. They still have some "left" bias, but they are trying. Blogs contain lots of opinion, but you see a broader perspective. Don't get sucked in to the drama. Mentally filter out most adjectives and adverbs, and see what remains.
