This suite of voice web applications is used by Coca-Cola, among others. I was the responsible engineer for the Subversion, SVN, code repository. C# and C++ on several  web and windows applications. Have written significant enhancements to these and refactored one unusable C++ user interface. A peer noted that the customer was making good use of my “fancy Dan” messages, which empowered our customers to use the application. These projects involved GUI, business layer, and Sql Server backend development.

Was backup DBA sharing responsibility for production and development Microsoft database servers (Sql Server). This included backup and restoration of databases on multiple servers and a variety of other database activities.

Configured IIS web servers on a CAC enabled environment for development and production web sites.

Designed and implemented a recursive treeview for navigating an open-ended tree of related court cases and their components.

Maintained and developed a Cold Fusion web site and DB2 queries for a large data warehouse in support to the TRICARE military health care system.

Software Engineer – Used Java to re-implement the SiteScope flagship URLMonitor to use the Apache Group HTTPClient libraries.

Worked with all aspects of HTTP protocol requests and responses. A partial list includes POST/GET method requests, cookies, status line, request and response headers, SSL including client side certificates, URL specification, META tags.

Enhancements and bug fixes to real time monitoring program written in Java. Including writing patches and providing debug code in the field.

 Used the Composite Pattern to implement SiteScope internal health monitoring.

Wrote new technical articles and enhancements to existing articles for customer and support personnel, including security setup for monitoring https pages. 

Have traveled cross-country to work with customers.

Single handedly added Regular Expression Testing page to SiteScope in 2 days. Google: sitescope regular expression.

Maintained and extended a C++ application for accessing Microsoft monitoring APIs.

Responsible for enhancing, configuring, and delivering live web sites. Responsible for designing, implementing and delivering web site monitoring and trouble-shooting programs.

 Did web enhancement programming on a live Java travel reservation and ticketing web site http://www.travelgalileo.com . Worked with JavaScript, HTML, Netscape HTML templates, and Java. This provided web access for Hazelton airline customers.

Designed, implemented, and deployed a Perl 5.0 program for consolidating and formatting log messages from a Netscape web site. The program reformats about 5000 log files into a 12 Gig Sql Server database on a daily basis. This allowed trouble-shooting of the web site to be reduced from several days to several hours in some cases.

Wrote a Perl program for consolidating performance data on www.travelgalileo.com and 30 other Galileo web sites. Found a graphical package on the Stanford web site for presenting graphed data as GIF files on HTML pages. We used this package to successfully demonstrate  that the web sites had performance issues when they were under load as well as other cyclical slow downs.

Wrote approximately 40 installation procedures and user documents for Windows NT. These documents have reduced the work load of administrators and helped new people get up to speed quickly.

Senior Product Developer

Responsible for designing, implementing and delivering business layer C++, database layer, and a middle-ware messaging application.

Developed on a computer job scheduling program, AutoSys 5.0.  This was a C++ project that used STL and ODBC to map an Object Oriented business model to relational databases.  

Wrote the 'Data Courier' application, which is critical middle ware for consolidating enterprise messages. 

Wrote the 'Filter' classes using the 'Composite Pattern' from the 'Gang of Four' book. These classes allow application programmers to query the database through a platform/database independent interface. Designing and implementing this capability earned me the prestigious name of 'Filter Boy.'

Designed, implemented, tested and delivered the 'machine' and 'virtual machine' classes for internal PC representation.
