It isn't clear exactly where this technology is heading. Scientists are currently claiming this is a great way to find out what's going on in the oceans at greater depths. Apparently jellyfish can go down below 64 ft into the water and travel all over the planet. With his bionic thing attached they can actually be controlled to some degree where they go but mostly how fast they go. The bionic thing can make them go up to three times faster. Supposedly the little jellyfish is not hurt at all. Currently they are using a relatively small species of jellyfish that is 4-8 inches in diameter.
