some people say their life "flashes before their eyes". are those the things that really matter?
we view life as a never ending continuum, but it's over in a flash. from the accounts of people that have gone off to visit the "bright light" it would appear that we are judged rather mundanely. billions of people are going through the process, you're just one more. no one talks about seeing all their good and bad deeds compared or analyzed. some people approach the light and then are off to a land of glorious Bliss, others report the sinking horror of descending into hell. then a voice tells them it's not their time, and poof, they're back in their body.
but for millions of people there is no return. there is no court or defense, it's just over.
